Hi,

I know it has been a very long time since you submitted this bug. I wanted to
ask for some clarification about this, if it is still an issue for you.

I followed your steps, but since I am new to using tab stops, I might have
missed something. I created a table with 2 columns and two rows.
In the second column, second row, I inserted a tab character using Ctrl-Tab.
Then I clicked on the ruler above that table column to make a left tab stop.

When I dragged that tab stop, the text aligned with it (see tabstop1.odg). 

I also dragged the lower triangle of what looks like an hour glass on the
ruler, and that's when I experienced the behavior that the tab no longer lines
up with the tab stop, but that might be expected.

If you could give me more information about the issue you are experiencing, I
would be happy to look into it. Thank you.
