Qubit <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDINFO Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Qubit <[email protected]> --- Testing with Ubuntu 12.04.3 + LO 4.1.2.3 Following OP's steps to reproduce as closely as possible: 1. File -> Save a document in .odt format 2. File -> Save As -> 'All Formats' -> Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML (.docx) I see the following warning: --- Confirm File Format This document may contain formatting or content that cannot be saved in the currently selected file format "Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML". Use the default ODF file format to be sure that the document is saved correctly. [Button: Use Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML Format] [Button: Use ODF Format] [checkbox: x] Ask when not saving in ODF format --- 3. Click "[Button: Use Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML Format]" 4. (Current behavior: It is noted that currently saving in a different format results in loss of content.) RESULTS: As described in Step #2, the user is warned about data loss before the document is saved in DOCX format. Jonathan - What do you think about the content of the warning that is presented to the user? Do you have any suggestions on how we might better inform our userbase about incompatibilities or feature differences between file formats? Thanks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
