The attached screenshot demonstrates that the navigator does not ellipsize the
text of its listview items, so if you have a long header there you end up with
an annoying horizontal scrollbar.
I would recommend automatically ellipsizing (shortening with "...") using pango
instead, and showing a tooltip with the full-length string when the mouse
hovers the item.
