I did this then: - downloaded the zip file - uncompress it (BTW, an odt file is in fact a zip file, just change the extension for the try) - save as and add a "test" as suffix => file saved ok. I forgot to ask several things (even if you won't reinstall LO) - did you try to save on local disk or on a network drive, dropbox or something not local? - Also which filesystem (FAT32, NTFS), is it a compressed drive? - Windows 7 32 or 64? - what's your Java versions?
