Priority: medium
Bug ID: 71466
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FILEOPEN: Older PPT files lack graphics
Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.5.2 release
Component: Drawing
Product: LibreOffice
I have some older PowerPoint (PPT) files that I did import with older versions
of OpenOffice and LibreOffice (like 3.3). But in 3.6.7.2 graphics are not
displayed any more!
Example files (more files at
http://codex.cs.yale.edu/avi/os-book/OS7/os7c/slide-dir/index.html):
http://codex.cs.yale.edu/avi/os-book/OS7/os7c/slide-dir/ch1.ppt (page 26, fig
1.26)
The other example I have
(http://www.deitel.com/Books/OperatingSystems/OperatingSystems3e/tabid/1711/Default.aspx#)
("2.4.3 Bootstrapping, Figure 2.6") requires registration, unfortunately.
I tried to isolate the problematic pages with LibreOffice and save again as
PPT, but I'm unsure whether those example would really help. When opening those
with LibreOffice 4.0.5.2 or PowerPoint 2010, these pages still lack graphics,
so they will be of little use.
As mentioned at the start, this worked in previous versions of the software, so
I consider this defect to be a major bug!
