--- Comment #16 from [email protected] --- To complete my tests I have run the same odb on a Windows 7 system using Mysql(JDBC), version 5.1.26 (I tried both this and 5.1.16 on ubuntu). With the System character set in the connection it fails to submit characters over x00 but it can receive and display them. With the UTF8 character set in the connection it works perfectly. So the problem is not the ubuntu client system font, since Windows 7 has the same problem. It must be the JDBC connection string submitted by LO, mustn't it? Why this does not happen for other people I just cannot work out. The only constant is my server, but even there I have today changed to MariaDb version 10, and nothing has changed.
