In this case, there would be no tentative of misuse if the sum was unique and housed only in the (unique) active cell, instead of trying a possibly useless computing on all selected cells. However, the feature consisting in filling in 1 clic the empty bottom line of a table with column SUMs (on a proposed range which is globally rectangular) is provided both in Excel, AOO and LibO, so we can't get rid of it as easily, even if it is impossible to subsequently adjust the ranges globally.
