copy of 1553 pages after "replace ( . ) with ( . \ n)

Problem description:

27/11/2013
The first part of a text of about 350 pages is lost due to error libre office
writer ...

I run find and replace
I tried the dot (. ) and replaced with point + head ( . \ n)
were too many and the program asked me if I wanted to disable the "undo
replacements "
I clicked "NO"
I reported 60,000 substitutions (or maybe 600,000 ? )
I do not remember if I already put in hundreds of pages of text lines with only
back to square one .
I activated "undo replacements " but the program has crashed , losing all the
original text (100 or 150 pages ) turned in 1553 (approx.) pages to square one.
After a few more crashes and recoveries, I cut out and put into another file
1553 (approx.) pages to square one.

I seem to remember that at first (before the first crash? ) Increased the pages
were only about 150 ( indication in the lower left )

It seems to me a very serious BUG that is the case to examine
In the same session , before replacing ( . ) With ( . \ N) I just replaced ( ,)
with ( space ) to 7000 or 8000 , followed by replacement of sostituzion ( ,
spaziospazio ) with ( space ) to make everything equal for about 5000
replacements

maybe there was too much stuff ?
