Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72410
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FILESAVE Changed .ots Calc-template wrongfully seen as
non ODF-format
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.3.2 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
When I try to save changes made to a CALC template .ots file (not a file based
on the template), without changing the file name or file type, LibreOffice
wrongfully assumes it is a non-ODF format and thus a Microsoft Excel Format.
But it is not.
This only works if the option "warn me when not saving in ODF" is aplied (see
https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/General_10#Warn_when_not_saving_in_ODF_or_default_format).
Apparently the scope of the warning is narrowed down to the actual file type
while it should be widened to the file format "Open Document Format" and the
file types associated with that. It does not happen in WRITER when opening,
changing and saving a .ott text template which is not identical to an .odt text
file.
