Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72435
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Document created with WinWord 2007 corrupt after
LO-import/changes/saved as docx
Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.5.7.2 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 90409

fragment (first part) of corrupt XML generated by FILESAVE to docx
A document was created by WinWord 2007, then opened in LO, changed in LO and
then saved in docx format. The result could not be opened in Winword. In LO,
only the first head line (index of contents / German: "Inhaltsverzeichnis")
showed up, the rest was gone.
The reason was that a corrupt document.xml was generated. Some closing XML tags
were in wrong order (fortunately could be fixed manually).
I cannot upload the original WinWord document, since it comes from somebody
else and contains some personal information. Instead I attach a fragment, the
first part of the corrupt document.xml. An XML parser first complains about the
closing tag </w:p> (column 5749, line 2, expected: </w:hyperlink>). Hope this
helps to find the problem.
