Priority: medium
Bug ID: 72712
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Other: Printing on pdf in black and white (option
available for impress or draw) does not print images
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Component: Printing and PDF export
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
In libreoffice 3.4 or before (on Ubuntu 12.04LTS or CentOS6.4), selecting
the "black and white" option in tab "LibreOffice Impress" or "LibreOffice Draw"
of the "Print" dialog window translated color images into greyscale
equivalents. The color background in impress translated white, which made it
possible to produce printable copies of color presentations very easily...
This possibility seems to have disappered in LibreOffice 4.0.4 (which came
last week with CentOS6.5) and also in LibreOffice 4.1.3 (that I installed
separately on CentOS6.5 to test).
This makes the black and white option totally unuseful !
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open or create an impress or draw document including a jpg image
2. print it with option "black and white" and "print in a file"
3. look at the resulting pdf file
Current behavior:
Black and white pdf file with text and lines, but without images (they are
replaced by white zones with a black border)
Expected behavior:
Black and white pdf file with black text and lines, and images converted in
greyscale
Operating System: Linux (Other)
Version: 4.0.4.2 release
