That did indeed CAUSE the SAME TYPE OF PROBLEM, even WITHOUT my making any changes to the document itself. So she could have been onto something, but my bug is apparently different. I then downloaded the currently offered version of LO (4.1.3.2) and re-tested the files I'd had trouble with.
