Bug #: 45031
Summary: Visio import: vertically aligned text is shown
horizontally
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.5.0 RC1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Drawing
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Created attachment 55902
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=55902
Example in visio
When importing a Visio file that contains objects with a label that is shown
vertically the text is imported as a separate text object of which the text is
shown as horizontal text in Draw. This text object is placed in such a manner
that it is no longer visually connected to the shape it is associated with.
Attached a file made in Visio 2003 and some screenshots (in later submits) of
the resulting import in Draw 3.5.0RC1.
I don't know enough of the internals of libvisio to know about the reason why
it is implemented like this, but wouldn't it be more logical to make use of the
text property that shapes have, instead of creating separate objects for
labels?
Anyway thanks very much for creating libvisio! For a first version I am
impressed with how well it works.
