Summary: EDITING: pasting table contents from a writer table
incorrect
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.4.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]

a Zip containing both a writer file with the original table and a calc file
woth the wrong paste result
Problem description: create a table in a writer table, even a very simple one
like a 3x3 table, and put some numbers into its cells.
Then select the whole table and copy it.
Move to an open calc spreadsheet, and try to paste the table anywhere. The
table gets pasted but invariably the second column of the original writer table
in the spreadsheet becomes a double column (e.g., if you paste your 3x3 table
starting at A1, cells A1:A3 are pasted OK; then cells in the second original
column become the join of the two cell of colums B and C, and the third
original column is pasted in column D of the spreadsheet.
Of course you can unjoin the double cell and move the contend of column D near
the forst two, but this is really annoying in ripetitive, intensive working.
I cannot remember exactly when this problems surfeced, but I am sure it was not
there some time ago. Unfortunately is the typical issue you never notice until
is there
I am attaching a couple of file (writer and calc) with an example of the
problem, thank you for your attention
