Bug #: 45055
Summary: EDITING - Applies to version 3.4 too, MID(x,y,z) and
RIGHT(x,y) do not work.
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.5.0 RC1
Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Whilst the text function LEFT(cell, characters) when used causes the result to
be displayed (and available for use by other cells), the functions
MID(cell, start, count) and RIGHT(cell, characters) do not work. Although the
result is displayed correctly in the wizards, the contents of the destination
cell is the formula, not the result (i.e. what is displayed for other functions
if display formulae is selected in options). Trying to use the destination cell
as a source for other cells just sees the formula as text.
This problem is seen in all Libre Office versions that I have tried, but I have
only tried single builds of each version.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, also rebooting my computer, and
working with different spreadsheets, but the fault is totally consistent.
Not able to try on other operating systems (mine is Windows Vista 32 bit).
I have looked through the current bug list, and the various release notes, and
I can find no comments on this issue.
