Steps to prove it : ° in a new writer doc, insert a 1x1 table, ° fill it with a sentence of 1 or 2 lines (ipsum lorem...), ° turn "displaying non-printing characters" on, ° slowly insert blanks between the first two words (waiting some seconds between each), and look at the <.> ° in my system, I see some <.> disappearing and re-appearing from their own. The fact that words look too close is a characteristic of small zoom/small fonts. 2 bugs in one file.
