          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 74349
          Assignee: [email protected]
           Summary: Autocomplete interferes with Search/Find
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.1.4.2 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

I've noticed that the latest Libre Office introduces an autocomplete in its
search toolbar.

I want to shut this feature off. It's behavior is erratic and counterintuitive.

If one uses the mouse to click on the text field to edit whatever word one has
typed in, the mouse click will not be able to de-select the word in order to
edit it. If one then types, the entire word will be deleted. Worse yet, even if
the word in the search bar is selected, mouse clicking to search results in
autocomplete substituting whatever word was highlighted in the list (regardless
of what is in the text pane).

In short, the implementation of this feature is a complete and utter mess.

How do I shut it off?
