          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 74398
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Please add more resize handles on range
                    outlines
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.1.4.2 release
         Component: Spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice

1. Create a new document in Calc.
2. Enter numbers into cells B2 through B4.
3. In cell B5, enter =sum(b2:b4) so that the sum is calculated.
4. Double-click cell B5.
5. A blue rectangular "range outline" will appear around cells B2-B4. This
outline has a resize handle at its lower right.

Request: There should be resize handles on the other 3 corners of the range
outline also.

The current case, only 1 resize handle, requires the user to do both a move and
a resize if resizing the range in any way that moves either the top or left
extent of the range.

Especially bad is shrinking the range from the top down:
6. Suppose we want to use the mouse to remove cell B2 from the range.
7. Move the range outline down 1 row by dragging it, so its top cell is B3.
The intent is that then we will drag the resize handle up by one row to shrink
the range.
8. Now the lower-right resize handle is "lost" in the active cell (B5 in this
example).
9. It would have been preferable to drag down an upper resize handle directly,
without having to move the range or have the cell B5 overlapped by the range
outline.

There are other ways to remove cell B2 from the range (such as moving the range
outline far enough to the right to be past the formula in B5 before resizing
the range), but the current behaviour is awkward.

I'm using LibreOffice 4.1.4.2 on Ubuntu 13.04.
