hi, you reported an issue about an obsolete LibO version (the 3.5.x branch is
very very very old) which is no longer supported. so you are strongly
encouraged to upgrade to a recent stable release which is 4.1.4

anyway AFAIK the macro recorder is not enabled by default, you have to manually
enable experimental features in older LibO releases, while you can enable the
macro recorder separately in more recent branches.

in 3.5.x you have to select:
Tools/Options/LibreOffice/General/Enable experimentale features (unstable)

in 4.1.x you have to select:
Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Advanced/Enable macro recorder

said that I mark this as RESOLVED NOTABUG since the macro recorder is available
as an option.
