Bug #: 45246
Summary: Dragging a selection of cells causes calc to crash
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.4.4 RC1
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Sometimes, when I use the mouse to select a number of cells in libre office
calc, and then try to move this selection some cells up/down/left/right, calc
crashes.
I have not yet found out when exactly it happens, but I know it happens after I
have filled in a sheet and have not saved for a while :-(
If I start a new spreadsheet, I can select and drag multiple cells for a long
time, and nothing happens.
But, I have this one document, in which I make notes for my progress in
Oblivion (yes, I'm running behind on my games, sorry). And in that document,
every time I make a selection and try to drag it to another location, calc
crashes.
Just tried some things in this particular document:
- multiple cells next to each other (in the same row) causes no problems.
- if there are two rows in the selection, any drag action will cause a crash.
- even empty cells will cause a crash.
- in a brand new spreadsheet, I cannot duplicate this
I have noticed this behavior in other spreadsheet documents before. Some
documents are former excel files, some are open office files, others are pure
libre office files.
I have not attached any of the 'problematic' spreadsheets, because I'm not sure
how much confidential information is in there. If you want one, mail me, and I
will go through one of them an send it to you.
