Problem description:
When creating a new plot, if the grid lines are enabled, the legend is
automatically positioned underneath those lines. If the user changes the legend
background from none to a color, the legend entries are covered by that color
thus making the legend unreadable.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new plot
2. Double clic on the legend
3. Change the legend color
Current behavior:
The legend entries are covered by the legend background
Expected behavior:
The legend background should change without hiding the writings
