          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 75012
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Spell checking re-performed on scrolling
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Mac OS X (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.0.4 release
         Component: Spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Spell checking is re-performed on the whole sheet while scrolling. This makes
the scrolling functionality slow and stuttering.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Fill up a sheet with garbage
2. Scroll
3. See the red lines telling you the words are wrongly spelled being
re-rendered

Current behavior:
See above

Expected behavior:
I would expect that in case of a scroll the user hasn't change any word so no
point to me in redoing the spell check. If this is done to save time at start
(so that hidden words are not being checked) then I guess it would be nice to
check the words on scrolling only for the areas that have not been shown yet.
Also, disabling the spelling doesn't make the scrolling faster. I guess this is
either because scrolling and spelling are not related whatsoever either because
spell checking is actually being performed even if disabled but the wavy red
lines are not displayed in this case.

Thanks!
