Summary: PDF: PDF exported slides are rendered incorrectly
Severity: normal

Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED

A simple one-slide presentation exported to PDF
Problem description:
Slides exported from Impress to PDF have their text rendered incorrectly, with
overlapping words, lines extending beyond page/slide boundaries (and hence
being invisible), and other legibility issues. This is especially apparent when
any words are in bold or italics - the problem is even more ugly as the lines
of text then become illegible.
(Exporting PDF from Writer is fine, this seems to affect Impress only.)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new presentation
2. Select slide layout named "Title, Content" (it will have a header and an
area for bullet-ed text items)
3. Enter a long line of text that will wrap to the 2nd line
4. Enter another line of text and have one word in it in bold or italics
5. Export to PDF
Current behavior:
The PDF when viewed will have corrupted text, i.e. words overlapping such that
they are often impossible to read, words extending beyond the right edge of the
page/slide.
Expected behavior:
PDF slides are rendered exactly like they appear in Impress. I had been using
v3.6 previously and it worked fine then, I switched to v4.1 recently and it's
not working. I've seen this in 4.1.3, 4.1.4, and still in 4.1.5.
Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.1.3.2 release
