Priority: medium
Bug ID: 75194
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: VIEWING: Perf problem while browsing a large file
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.5.1 rc
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Opening, saving and browsing a large spreadsheet causes libreOffice calc to
hang. While Excel 2007 via wine or Gnumeric allow perfect browsing without any
problems, libreOffice can not. The RAM memory allowed to Calc is set at the
maximum. When I try to create a graph with lines instead of points, Calc hangs
forever.
Steps to reproduce:
You can download the test spreadsheet:
http://sd-1.archive-host.com/membres/up/71854706618929057/2014_02_18_isotherm.xls
It is a xls format, but I tried to convert it to Calc native format with the
same results
Current behavior:
Hangs while browsing the file
Expected behavior:
Fluent browsing.
I have to mention I'm on Archlinux, my libreoffice version is the 4.1.5.3
410m0(Build:3) (not proposed in the form), I have 4 Gb of RAM, with a i5 CPU.
Operating System: Linux (Other)
Version: 4.1.5.1 rc
