          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 75555
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Unable to copy text from LibreOffice Writer
into body of Gmail I'm composing
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.0.4 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
In the past I've had no problems on my MS Vista OS copying portions of an MS
2007 Word doc into the body of a Gmail I'm composing. However I'm unable to do
that when I try to copy LibreOffice Writer text (which I'm very grateful to be
able to otherwise use!!). When I create and save a LibreOffice Writer file,
which I've saved with the extension for MS Word 97/2000/XP/2003(.doc)and I open
it, and then try copying a portion of that into the body of a Gmail I'm
composing, nothing appears. The mouse cursor just sits there when I try
pasting the copied text. However...I can successfully copy the same
information into that same Gmail's address To area, or Subject area. So I know
the Control C portion has worked, and the Control V works into the To and
Subject portion of the the Gmail I'm creating.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a LibreOffice writer file with a (.doc) extension
2. Control C a portion of that
3. Control V that into a new Gmail you are composing

Current behavior: Copying does not occur.

Expected behavior: Copying text ought to occur.

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!
Operating System: Windows (other)
Version: 4.2.0.4 release
