No settings in OS X or in LibreOffice control or cause this insanely large
font. The software does not appear to use Apple's standard Help system—and I
appreciate that! The LibreOffice help system is much more complete and
responsive, if it were not for the aggravatingly big font.

Even if one had poor vision, the big font only affects help text, but the help
navigation setup on the left of the help pane is all a standard small (normal)
font. 

Seems like it should be an easy thing to deal with: What exactly tells Mac OS
what font and size to use in the help text display, that is unique to that text
block? Can a user control be implemented so that particular font size can be
changed by the user?
