Priority: medium
Bug ID: 75902
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Conditional formatting is not correctly formatting
multidimensional table with string data
Severity: critical
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.5.3 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 95330

the sheet with the table and conditional formatting applied
The conditional formatting is not applying correct formats to a
multidimensional table with string data, that is a table with multiple rows and
columns containing either "Yes" or "No" strings.
Precondition: Create two styles - "Green" which has cell fill colour changed to
green and "Red" which has cell fill colour changed to red.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a table with multiple columns and multiple rows
2. Fill up the table randomly with either a "Yes" or "No" values (without
quotes)
3. Select the entire table
4. Go to Format->Conditional Formatting->Condition...
5. Enter "Yes in the text box without quotes at Condition 1 and choose style
"Green"
6. Click Add to add Condition 2 and enter "No" into the text box and then
choose style "Red"
7. Click on "Ok"
Expected result: All selected cells are conditionally formatted:
- string "Yes" containing cells have green background
- string "No" containing cells have red background
Actual result: Some cells are green and some are red. The colour does not
depend on the content of the cell. Most of the cells have no colour at all.
