Also, in my case 'autogen' doesn't seem to read an 'autogen.input' file. Be that as it may, I just append the switches I need directly on the command line. By any stretch of the imagination, that should work exactly as if 'autogen' read the switches from the 'autogen.input' file. You can confirm/reject in a one-minute test the claims I have made: 1. 'autogen' doesn't read/need an 'autogen.input' file. 2.
