--- Comment #14 from Kevin Hunter <[email protected]> --- (In reply to comment #13) > Out of curiosity, reaching help via the Tools -> Options panel is a bit out > of the way. Any improvement if you open panel directly from the Help -> Help > menu? Yes. I happened upon this error twice in a row, and realized that I couldn't recreate with the path you suggest (Help->Help). That is why I gave the exact mechanism for recreating the crash. There is perhaps a more direct route, but this one works (as it were). I wonder if there is an interaction with the fact that I'm not using Unity, but Openbox? Hmm. Given the lack of anyone else finding the error, I suspect this may be due to an interaction differential between libraries available on 12.04 and what other's have tested. I'd be much obliged if someone with a 64-bit 12.04 install were to test this. I've also just installed the -dbg package from the ppa, so maybe that can help track down the suspected null pointer dereference. Meanwhile, if no one else can recreate this crash, this bug will go out of date once Trusty debuts, or possibly when 12.04 is EOL ... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
