Could you please give more information about what you had done, because this
seems to work for me?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open WRITER
2. Go to TABLE -> INSERT -> TABLE

Interim Result: a table is inserted

3. Click/Put the cursor within the table
4. Go to TABLE -> TABLE PROPERTIES -> tab BORDERS
5. Go to USER-DEFINED section on the left and click two times on a border you
want to delete

Result: The border is deleted.

You have to assure to click two times on the border.  After the first click the
black thin line (border) changes to a thick grey line (-> after this first
click the line is not yet deleted).  After clicking a second time on the thick
grey line (border) this border is deleted.  


For me it is a little bit inconsistent and user-unfriendly that you have to
click two times.  I would think that one click should be ok and enough.  I
think this can be improved.
