The legend entry on any graph cannot be removed without deleting the
corresponding plot on the graph.
Create a simple x-y scatter graph with two sets of data on it and make sure the
legend is shown. Select the second legend entry and delete it; notice that the
corresponding data is also removed from the graph.
The workaround to dealing with this is to manually create a legend - that takes
an extremely long time and most end-users will not put up with this.
I will add screenshots if and when I have time, but at least the bug is
reported and can be worked on.
