          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 76416
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Other: Automatic updates via Bittorrent
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.1.1 release
         Component: Installation
           Product: LibreOffice

Would it be possible to implement a small Bittorrent client, perhaps using
libtorrent, in LibreOffice to automatically download updates? It could lighten
the load on TDF's servers during update times, and would also allow for faster
download speeds for many. Having it integrated would make people more willing
to use Bittorrent which I imagine could save some money. It would also be
pretty convenient not to have to follow a link, which opens in a web browser,
and click on the Torrent link, which opens in a separate client.

Also, why is LibreOffice unable to install updates on its own? On Windows, I
have to go through the installation process every time, which is less of a
hassle on Mac.
Operating System: All
Version: 4.2.1.1 release
