Bug #: 45547
Summary: VIEWING: Page scroll jumps on showing additional
toolbar
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.3.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description: The Writer show additional toolbars depending on the
context of the text cursor, e.g. additional buttons when the cursor is in an
ordered list. The additional screen space occupied by the toolbar offsets the
text area accordingly, which is irritating.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. Create a normal paragraph and a list with bullet points
3. Using the arrow keys, move the text cursor into the list.
4. (if necessary: if the appearing Bullets and Numbering toolbar is floating,
dock it underneath the other toolbars at the top)
5. Using the arrow keys, move the text cursor from the bulleted list into the
normal paragraph.
6. Using the arrow keys, move the text cursor back into the bulleted list.
Current behavior:
Whenever the additional docked toolbar takes up additional space above the text
area, the text area is pushed down by the corresponding amount. Thus, the text
line I was currently focusing on is moved and I need to adjust my vision.
Expected behavior:
The current scroll position of the document should be adjusted accordingly, so
the display of an additional toolbar does not lead to a vertical jump of my
text in the window.
Platform:
Ubuntu 11.04
