I bought an HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 8.1. I loaded several free programs
and all my photos on it. Libre Office was one of the programs. My photos would
not display in the Windows 8.1 photo app. I asked for help from HP and then
Microsoft. We tried so many steps, including indexing rebuild. Nothing seemed
to help until I got a suggestion at the Microsoft Community Forum that Libre
Office may be blocking the photos. So I deleted Libre Office from programs and
did an indexing rebuild. Surprise! Photos appeared in photo app. I have
reported same to Microsoft Community Forum under Windows 8.1 photos and video.
My username is Orion23WF at the forum. I am sending this message from my old
Windows 7 desktop. It would be nice if this could be fixed because I really
like Libre Office and would like to reinstall it.
