          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 77084
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FILEOPEN: Read Error opening password protected file
                    with correct password
          Severity: major
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Mac OS X (All)
          Reporter: arjunjalan...@gmail.com
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.2.1 release
         Component: Spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice

I have a few .ods files that worked fine, till a couple of hours back.

The files are password protected spreadsheets.

Issue:
When clicking on the file to open, I am prompted for password.
When the wrong password is entered, I get a prompt that reads the following,
and then a retry prompt appears.
"""
The password is incorrect. The file cannot be opened.
"""

When the correct password is entered, a document opens, but instantly a prompt
appears:
"""
Read-Error.
The wrong password has been entered.
"""

Expected:
When the correct password is entered, the file should be read correctly and
opened for editing.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help resolve this faster as
the data is crucial for me and I need it urgently.

Any workaround for the time being is also welcome.

Additional Info:
I updated to the latest release 4.2.2.1 a few days back and it was working fine
till today.
I uninstalled and installed 4.2.3 Beta version, and the problem persists there
as well.
