Priority: medium
Bug ID: 77135
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FILEOPEN: Cannot open .odt saved as first save from
open and edited .doc
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.3.2 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
I opened an read-only archive containing .doc file and edited it. Then I saved
the file directly as .odt in appropriate directory. Afterwards I cannot open it
with the same LO 4.1.3.2 that was used to save it as .odt.
Steps to reproduce:
Actually I can reproduce this only with one archive I have: .rar containing
.zip, which in turn contains .doc. I attach it to the bug description. I tried
to make zipped zip and .zip contained in tar.bz2, but had no problems with
files from them. I do not currently have RAR utility to check if this bug
persists with other .rar archives.
1. Open a .doc from archive and save it as .odt (no matter whether to define
the format as .odt at once or to agree to ODF warning).
2. Close LO and try to open the file again (either via double-click or via LO
menus).
Current behavior:
Error message "Read error. Error reading file".
There are no problems with .docx documents from the same archive.
Expected behavior:
Opening the file. LO 3.5.4.2 manages to open the file fine, as well as AOO
4.0.1.
Operating System: Debian
Version: 4.1.3.2 release
