          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 77337
          Assignee: [email protected]
           Summary: FORMATTING: Default Date Format
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.2.1 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

I see how to change the date format from the default format (mm/dd/yy) to any
other date format, e.g., dd MMMM YYYY, but the feature seems to be valid only
on an ad hoc basis. That's not good enough.

I don't like your default date format, e.g., 04/11/14. I prefer a professional
format, e.g., 11 April 2014. I want to change the default from what you've got
in the system to what I want to appear whenever I use the "insert date field"
feature.

If I can do that already, the means are not clear---so please enlighten me; if
I can't do that already, then you should add that feature to the program.
Thanks.
Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.2.2.1 release
