Created attachment 97232

Open the document: borders would only be shown when "Merge adjacent line
styles" isn't chosen.

Have seen the same effect. Opened a document for writing the new German
Base-documentation - all borders around tables have been gone with LO 4.2.

Open the attached document. There are two tables. Default for all tables
is:Table → Property: Merge adjacent line styles chosen. This is the default in
every version of LO. You could chose any kind of border, but it doesen't work
when this option is chosen.
Works with every LO-Version up to LO 4.1.6.1, also with the first LO 4.2 - have
tested it with 4.2.0.0rc1. Doesn't work with LO 4.2.3.3.

My system: OpenSUSE 12.3 64bit rpm Linux
