Priority: medium
Bug ID: 77446
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Other: Intermittently, some Libreoffice applications
hang as soon as they are started
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.3.3 rc
Component: Libreoffice
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
On starting Libreoffice Calc or sometimes Writer, the splash screen appears and
disappears normally, then the main window draws mostly (Generally the menu bar
does not draw) and is thereafter unresponsive. After a few minutes, clicking
the X in the frame to close the application results in Fedora waiting several
seconds and then declaring that the application is unresponsive. Other X
applications on the same desktop seem unaffected.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Libreoffice Calc from the launcher
2. Try do use the application in any way
3. Attempt to resize the application frame
Current behavior:
The application window is not fully drawn. In particular the menu bar is
not drawn.
The application does not respond.
The application does not redraw on resize events, and new areas of the
window have the content of what was already drawn on the desktop behind the
window.
Expected behavior:
The application window should be fully drawn.
The application should respond, e.g.:
Clicking in cells should select them for focus, etc.
The application properly resizes itself
System and software versions:
Libre-office 4.2.3.2
Fedora Core 20 (fully updated on 2014-04-14)
Linux 3.13.9
KDE 4
X.Org 1.14.4
Core i7
16 GB RAM
256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD
Operating System: Fedora
Version: 4.2.3.3 rc
