but the power of the option lies with the coupling between location/part of the
text and the disabled auto-correct. After setting your auto-correct off (style)
for that part, you can edit and make corrections without worrying about
auto-correct making unwanted changes. You might also want to use this to bypass
the spell-checker.

Just a button to temporarily disable auto-correct might give a bit of advantage
above working with undo and arrow keys to avoid auto-correct to make changes,
but it will not give you the assurance the text is not gonna be changed later.
