             Bug #: 45627
Summary: Redundant Step in Presentation Wizard
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Presentation
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

On the first page of the wizard, I'm given the choice of "Empty
Presentation" and "From Template". If I choose "Empty Presentation"
and press "Next", I see the same choices for choosing a template
that I saw on Page 1 of the Wizard.

To me, this is confusing and raises these questions:
- "Are the templates on Page 2 the same as the ones on Page 1?"
- "Why am I being presented with another chance to select a template?"

I suggest to either show the choices for templates on Page 1 or Page 2, but not
both.

In addition, if I choose a template on Page 1, then that template's name is
*not* shown correctly on Page 2.

For example, on Step 1, choose "Presentation Backgrounds" from the "Select a
Slide Design" box.
Then, choose the "Blue and Grey" background and press "Next".
On Page 2 of the Wizard, you will now see "<Original>" as being selected. I
now understand what <Original> means (It means the slide background I selected
on Page 1), but I didn't understand what it meant to begin with, and sort of
goes against the main purpose of a wizard.

Thanks for your time,
--Nate
