I have, for a LibreOffice Writer document, a need to insert Universal 3D image
files and have the zoom in, orbit view, and animation playback functions fully
functional after being exported to PDF. 3D is a trend, so the day will come
when it is just as important to support 3D imagery as it is any other 2D image
format currently supported.
Universal 3D image files have the .u3d extension.
