Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78048
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FORMATTING: "constant value" error bars can't be
arbitrary small or big
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.3.3 release
Component: Chart
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 98141
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=98141&action=edit
simple XY chart with error bars (standard deviation)
In science charts, values can be very small or large on an axis. For a
"constant value" error bar, it is impossible to enter a value of 2E26 or 3E-5,
for example (nothing is displayed).
In the attachment file, there is a graph with standard deviation error bars. If
you edit the Y error bar and choose the "constant value" category (error bar
tab) with a value of 2E26, it should work (but it doesn't). For the X error
bars, you can't specify 5E-4 (or even 0,0005).
So in brief, scientific notation numbers never works for constant error bars
and even decimal numbers in some cases.
