Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78057
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Upgrading LO requires user to terminate Explorer.exe
on Windows
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.3.3 release
Component: Installation
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 98154

installation wizard error dialog
This system is Windows 7 AMD 64 bit.
I am trying to update from 4.2.0.4 to the current release 4.2.3.3. When I run
the installer, I get a window "File in Use" which says following applications
need to be closed - listed is "Windows Explorer (Process ID: 3812). And
installation is terminated. (see attachment)
This is similar to bug 69066 that occurred when installing an earlier version.
I was able to resolve that problem as I commented.
But this time its a different Process ID, and the same solution (turning off
thumbnails) did not fix this problem.
