Middle is that same EPS parsed through Inkscape as EMF (note vector preview), bottom is the same EPS parsed with Inskscape back to "cleaner" EPS retains color but is also a raster preview. All three render as vector based in PDF, to follow. So issue is resolved, but quality of "preview" handling of EPS may depend on structure of the EPS.
