This has happened twice, once after upgrading to 3.5.0rc2 and once after
upgrading to 3.5.0rc3.
When clicking on the "check for upgrades" menu item, the upgrade dialog pops up
and stays open forever.
It does not show an upgrade percentage, but the "%PERCENT%" word. Pause, Resume
and Cancel buttons are visible but not responding (but they do not have a
clear "disabled" look either), but the Close button works
