Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78443
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: No Libreoffice programs will launch under UBUNTU 14.04
Severity: blocker
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha1
Component: Installation
Product: LibreOffice
I have a complete UBUNTU 14.04 install (after a failed upgrade from 13.10).
LibreOffice was loaded via the CD and ran normally.
I added the extension AltSearch.oxt to Writer.
The little green binoculars did not show up and when I closed and then tried to
reopen Writer it would not launch.
I have removed and re-installed LibreOffice multiple times and each time I have
the same behavior - none of the programs (Writer, Calc ...) will launch.
I removed the LibreOffice folder from my .config folder and re-installed. No
luck.
I have re-installed via Ubuntu's Software Center and via Synaptic with the same
results.
It seems that there is some shared file that got messed up, but I am flumoxxed
as to how to recover what is a terrific Office suite.
I will deeply appreciate any suggestions and hope that a solution to my problem
might assist others.
Thank you,
Val Veirs
