XP works fine. On OSX the problem is worse than ever. How can this bug exist only on OSX when it does not exist on XP and (reportedly) not on LINUX. In general, why installs LO quite different on OSX: there is no choice between express install and custom install. >From the above, one might conclude that the OSX version and the rest are two different programs.
