Priority: medium
Bug ID: 79579
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Discrepancy between the name of the Permutation
fonction in the docs vs required in fact in the
spreadsheet
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.6.2 release
Component: Documentation
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 100346
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=100346&action=edit
Zipped 2 images of the spreadsheet and the help file page
In the French version of the help of Calc (the spreadsheet program) the name of
the Permutation fonction in the syntax statement says "PERMUTATIONS" (with a
final S) while the name required in the spreadsheet formula is rather
"PERMUTATION" (without a final S). See the attached two images showing the two
conflicting names. (I found the name to use, by trial and error.)
To reproduce the bug, use "=PERMUTATIONS(4;2)" instead of "=Permutation(4;2)"
in any cell then compare the name used with the name indicated in the help file
after looking for "permutation".
