          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 79796
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FORMATTING: CTRL+] and CTRL+[ shortcuts do not work
                    with mixed-size selection
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.4.2 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

This is an ENHANCEMENT REQUEST.

Problem description: `CTRL+]` and `CTRL+[` are the keyboard shortcuts to
increase or reduce the font size of the selected text by 2 points. This works
fine, so long as the selected text is of a uniform size. This screenshot shows
the operation: http://i.imgur.com/nwuTA8s.png

However, when text of multiple sizes is selected, this shortcut/manipulation is
not available - there is no way to select text that includes both of, say, 10pt
and 12pt, and with a single application of the shortcut, make it all 12pt and
14pt. This scenario is illustrated here: http://i.imgur.com/vxp3y27.png

To increase or reduce text of different sizes uniformly thus requires multiple
select/change procedures.

The ENHANCEMENT REQUEST, then, is to make it possible to apply the shortcut(s)
to mixed-size text selections.

Note: this desired behaviour will be expected by those migrating from MS Word,
where this ability to adjust mixed point sizes in selected text (also with the
same shortcut keys, but in increments +/- of 1pt) has been available since at
least Word XP.

With that in mind, it would be a bonus to permit the user to set the
increment/decrement value as an option.

This has also been reported in an AskLibreOffice Q&A: http://goo.gl/QEPoZA
